Outlook Web, Chrome, and Silverlight

Over the past year or so, my colleagues at Palo Verde High School and I have experienced issues attaching items to emails through district Outlook Web account (OWA) because of the inability to allow pop ups. It seems Chrome had this fabulous idea to eliminate the use of Silverlight, a plug in required in order for the pop ups to work properly in OWA. (link - Silverlight Won't Work...)

Until OWA finds another way for pop ups to work (if they even intend to), I have researched and found a work-around. Like all work-arounds it leaves a bit to be desired, but at least it is a functional solution rather than having to wait until access to a desktop computer with the full version of Outlook installed is convenient.

It's simple, on the log in screen for Outlook Web, use the "light" version of OWA, by checking the box when you log-in. It has fewer features but doesn't use Silverlight and therefore should allow attaching of files.

If this helps, please share the information. Feel free to leave a comment below as well!
